Pacific Edge
The Pacific Edge is a small hotel (well, 4 cabins, really), located on a cliff right on the pacific coast (yeah, on the edge), near
the 'town' of Dominicalito.
The place is overlooking the coast, all the way to Manuel Antonio. This is our favorite place in Costa Rica. It
is run by Susan & George, a great couple (She's form the US, he's british), who also raise 4 cute dogs. They have a pool
overlooking the ocean, places to rest and get frequent visits from Toucans, and they even cook great food. In one word - Paradise!
We stayed there for 4 days, and we wished we've stayed for more. Other guests in the cabins were Derek & Nicole from the US (Hey guys!) and also
a fellow Cisco employee from the states as well (Heya Bruce!).
To top it all, every evening you get to witness beautiful sun sets...
And of course, you have great beaches, close by.
Waterfall tour
One day we actually left the Pacific Edge for half a day, and went to a nearby water fall. You have to get there
by horseback riding. It was really really fun.
Before the waterfall, you get to have breakfast, and these guys have a couple of Toucans and some Scarlet Macaws that were
hurt, and they helped them to get better. So these are caged, so we think it is okay.
And finally, the waterfall. It is a wonderful place - cold water pool where you can swim, huge rocks from where you can jump
into the pool... We stayed there for 2 or 3 hours, and then went back. Lovely!
This is a short video (AVI, about 3MB) of my jump, from one of the rocks into the pool. You can click on it
to see the movie, or right-click it and save the movie on your computer.
