Great reflections
Well, here are some more pictures from the Canals, these ones taken by Michal. Oh, and a cute turtle to boost.
Tortuguero Village
The village of Tortuguero is quite small, really. And colourful. Still, there's a bar, and, er, well, that's it really. The village
is in a thin strip of land, between the ocean and a big canal.
Anyway you can see AJ and Druthi walking on the beach there.
La Paz
When we came back from Tortuguero, we got our rental car (Raul! The mighty jeep) and headed for Arenal. On the way
we stopped in La Paz - a hotel, located on the way from San Jose to Arenal, which has some gardens a butterfly farm,
a hummingbird garden, and some waterfalls. They charge quite a bit for seeing these things. We do not feel it is really worth
it (You can see waterfalls, butterflies and humming birds all over Costa Rica...). Still, it is a nice place, and I got a
great butterfly picture.
The waterfalls were quite nice, although we've seen better ones on the way to MonteVerde (In a couple of pages, patience...). The
last picture here can show you the Costa-Rican road quality (Well, at least they built a new bridge. Sometimes you just
have to ford the river in such cases).
