Corbett National Park
From Rishikesh we went to Corbett - the famous 'Tiger-infested' National Park. We chose the best resort in the area, and for
a good reason - Michal and I celebrated our third anniversary there! Mazal Tov to us.
Infinity Resorts was a superb place, especially compared to other accommodation in India (It also costed as such). The Tigers
seems to resent the Capitalist extravaganza, and they didn't come to meet us (well, actually we came at a very bad time,
when most of the park is closed). We still had a great time there.
The first safari we did was the jeep safari. Shelly (A nice girl from Canada) stayed with us in the lodge, and also
joined in the safaris.
The safari was a lot of fun, the park was beautiful. We saw a lot of deers, and some Tiger footprints, but no real tigers...
The second Safari was an Elephant safari. Laxmi (The elephant) did a great job of walking us around. I loved it (Michal said her
back ached a bit). It was much quieter than the jeep, so you can see more animals.
Every afternoon Laxmi has a bath - she loves it, it seems. I loved taking pictures...
The best way to see the animals is just to stay on the restaurant deck. We saw monkeys, deers and peacocks.
