Schinegge Platte
Schinegge Platte is the name of the station that sits between Interlaken and Grindelwald, high in the mountains. This place is beautiful,
as you walk on the top and see both the Grindelwald valley and the lakes (Brienz and Thun).
So you take the train from the valley floor high up to S-P. It takes about an hour. Slow!
After arriving at the station (and eating a small Tuna sandwich) we started to walk. The views, as always,
are brilliant.
And here are some photos of lake Thun (and Interlaken) -
And the other lake is lake Brienz, I think I like it best.
We decided to climb one of the many peaks (horns they are called here). So we picked ObererHorn. It was a short
climb, but a cool one (with stairs inside a cave), with good views on the top. Here are the cliffs and
the stairs, going up -
And finally, the pictures from the top -
GletcherSchlucht
Going to GletcherSchlucht is easy - you just walk from the Kirche for about 30 minutes, and you get to the entrance. The schluct is a narrow
valley, in which the swiss dug some tunnels and bridges. It's nice, you walk along the river.
