Our trip to Ireland

Liscannor, Doolin & the Cliffs of Moher

After the Gap Of Dunloe track, we headed north, intending to see the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's top attractions. We stayed in a little place called Liscannor. We spent the afternoon in Doolin - a cute little town, with lot's of music artists and music shops (I even bought an Irish flute). There are a couple of very good restaurants in this area. One is called Bruach na hAilla (Really, I'm not kidding you. I have no idea how to pronounce it. The food was great, and there was a live band practicing in the nearby room, excellent!). Another cool place was the Stone Cutters Kitchen, which had good food. Beside the trip to the Cliffs of Moher (we actually had 2 trips there, once we just saw the cliffs, the other time we actually walked the track) we wanted to take a ship to one of the small Aran islands (Mitzy has been in the smallest one, and said it was really nice). The sea was angry that day, so we couldn't go there...
The cliffs in all their glory.
Looking down into the sea.
The northern part of the cliffs.
Another pic of the northern part of the cliffs...
The south part of the cliffs. When you reach the cliffs, the real "track" is to the south, walking a few miles till a small tower. Certainly a great little walk!
The little tower at the end of the tramp. All the way back we had a terrible fog, so there are no pictures of that part of the trail (what? I heard that relief sigh!)
That's not something you'd want to happen to your rental car. You can see ol' Pete in the background.
