My trip to New Zealand

Franz - Josef glacier

Walking on the glacier was one of the coolest things I've done in NZ. It was a great day. I really recommend doing the full-day tour of the glacier, and not the half-day, because the higher you go on the glacier, the more beautiful it becomes. I know I have lot's of pictures from that climb, but what the heck!

The start of the climb to Franz. Cool sign....
Yael Gal & Me being cool, Ice-Picks and all.
Ron!
Gal!
Yael!
Me again.
Me and Gal, at some high point in the glacier..
You can actually spot Gal here. Thanks Yael for the Photo!
A good picture of Yael.
Finishing the climb... That was really really nice!

To ChristChurch- via Arthur's Pass

After the FJ glacier walk, we had to go to ChCh. I was going WWOOFing at Diamond Harbour, and Yael had to fly back home. We spent a day in Arthur's Pass (nice place), and then drove to ChCh.

Just before going to Arthur's pass, we went to see Lake Matheson. Gal said we have to go because all the postcards of NZ show this lake. It's a nice lake indeed, and on a good day you can see Mt Cook from here.
Another Lake Matheson picture. Not Bad!
Another lake we stopped at on the way to Arthur's pass. I have absolutely no idea what lake. Anyway, this is my first picture of Sami - Gal's legendary blue car (here parked next to GodZilla)
Arthur's pass, in all it's glory. Nice bridge!
Another picture of Sami. And Gal is there also.
On the way from Arthur's pass to ChCh, we stopped at the Castle-Rock place. It's quite nice up there, with all the rocks and stuff.
Gal & Me on some rock...
And Yael on the opposite rock. The cliffs here were really cool!
The famous (?) statue of Captain Cook, at ChCh. Half of New-Zealand is named after Cook (The other half after Abel Tasman). My favorite explorer! (well, why not). Actually this is my only picture from ChCh (but it's a really nice city!)
