Our trip to Ireland

Kilkenny

From Wicklow we drove straight to Kilkenny. It's a nice little town, with some nice gardens and churches.
The east coast of Ireland, on the way to Kilkenny.
The castle grounds in Kilkenny.
The castle itself.
A cute little street. These coloured houses are really nice, eh?

Rock of Cashel

The rock of Cashel was something I really wanted to visit, the pictures in our travel guide book were really nice. It was a little disappointing, actually. But it does look good in the pictures!
The 'Rock' in all its glory. It is basically a castle, built on a not-as-high-as-you-might-expect rock.
Nice green view from the Rock.
You can never have enough green.
Granny's Kitchen - a great place for a snack, just beside the Rock.

Mitzy peninsula

After Cashel, we went to the west coast. We started going to all those nice peninsulas, starting with Mitzen. We called it Mitzy, after Michal's friend - check out her work here (in Hebrew), really nice.
The Mitzy peninsula.
Not bad cliffs, eh? Those stairs lead to a nice light-house, sadly I didn't take a picture of it.
Somewhere in the peninsula.
The Drombeg stone circle. A tiny tiny stone circle, it is quite funny. Cool.

Glengariff

We spent the night in Glengariff, and I think it is worth a mention. The town is really nice, and we had a great B&B there - the Ashgrove. They had the best breakfast in Ireland (what could be better than freshly baked soda bread with some smoked Salmon?). If you're in Glengariff, check out the Martello restaurant (good restaurants in Ireland are quite rare!).
Nice views, from the Ashgrove window. They say Glengariff looks a bit like Switzerland, and it is really a beautiful place.
